Young baseball players from all over southeast Ontario are celebrating a major victory.
The Seaway Surge organization’s under-22 double-A team won Baseball Ontario’s annual U22 AA Championship Monday afternoon.
Prior to the final game, the Surge won five out of six games in the tournament, including three games in a single day on Sunday.
They took on the Whitby Canadians in the final, coming back from a 4-1 deficit to win the game 7-5.

The Seaway Surge organization is based out of Morrisburg, with players of all ages from all over the region, in communities like Kemptville, Prescott and North Dundas.
This is the first time the club has ever won the U22 AA provincial championship.
