Edwardsburgh-Cardinal announces new Lifeguard Recertification program this summer

Past lifeguards are being invited to get recertified in South Grenville this June.

The Town of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal has opened registration for both adult and youth “Lifeguard Recertification” events, as part of its summer recreation programming.

The events are being run by members of the Lifesaving Society, Canada’s national governing body for lifeguards.

The courses cost $75, and allows anyone who has an expired National Lifeguard Certification from the Society to renew it.

The youth program will be running June 18th, while adults will be able to get recertified on the 20th and 21st.

If you aren’t a lifeguard yet but want to become one, the township is also offering beginner-level lifeguard training from the Lifesaving Society this summer.

You can find more details, and register, on the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal website.
