MP Gord Brown’s family is asking you help build an ice pad in lieu of flowers.
According to Brown’s obituary his family is asking that anyone who had planned on buying flowers instead donate to fulfilling Brown’s dream of another ice pad in the region. Brown envisioned a second ice pad near the current recreation center in Ganaoque and a go-fund me has been set up to make the idea reality.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday at Tompkins Funeral Home in Ganaoque from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 11am inside the Lou Jefferies Recreation Centre. There will be a graveside service and a reception at the Firehall Theatre from 2-4pm.
