Moms in the area looking for support can attend a free event this weekend.
Event Organizer Jackie Schoemaker-Holmes says Mummy Voices started as a Facebook group. Saturday they’ll have nine mothers telling their stories for five minutes each. According to her the event has been stylized after storytelling podcasts. Schoemaker-Holmes says they’re trying to bring the conversation of motherhood into the public sphere.

She stresses that this is an event for mothers of all ages and that anyone is welcome to attend, mother or not. Schoemaker-Holmes says they’ll be covering a number of topics.

Mummy Voices LIVE will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday at the Brockville Public Library.
