Prescott Mayor Brett Todd is planning run for re-election.
Todd made the announcement on Monday evening on his Facebook page. Todd said he took some time to make the decision, knowing it was a huge commitment.
He says some key points he wants to focus on include securing the construction of a new Leo Boivin Community Centre, bringing jobs to Prescott, Downtown Rejuvenation and tackling other ageing infrastructure.
Todd was a councillor starting in 2006, and then was elected mayor in 2010 and 2014. Todd says he hasn’t filed yet but plans to do so.
The Town of Prescott says no one has formally filed yet.
