Prescott is paying respects to those impacted by the tragedy in Alberta.
Mayor Gauri Shankar tells the Vista Radio Newsroom that the town will be flying its flag at half-mast to honour the four people killed, and many more injured, in a fire at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright.
It happened on Saturday as multiple training activities were happening at the base.
CAF officials say the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
Many communities throughout eastern Ontario, including Edwardsburgh Cardinal, have also lowered their flags.
