The precision, tradition and pageantry of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride is coming to the area on Sunday.
Fort Wellington in Prescott is the setting for the performance with all welcome to the free community event that starts at 1 p.m.
The ride is a special unit showcasing the equestrian skills performed by 32 cavalry who are regular members of the force.
Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar tells Moose FM that the event is part of another busy weekend in the town.
“After you’ve enjoyed the musical ride our Sunday night concert series starts up that night as well. We routinely anywhere have been 400 and 700 people that show up for that.”
Donations to the South Grenville Food Bank are being accepted for the ride performance in lieu of admission.
Event parking will be available along the Prescott waterfront, south of Fort Wellington.
