Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar says council is going to keep up its work up ahead of the municipal election.
With just a few regular meetings left ahead of the Oct. 26 election, Shankar says they aren’t going to make any major decisions like setting a municipal budget but instead they will leave that for the next council.
Shankar tells the Vista Radio Newsroom that they are going to set the next council up for success.
“We are not going to invest in any heavy payments that handcuff the next council.”
Shankar is running for mayor in the election against businessman Tim Mackay.
