Prescott Museum and Visitor Centre working to preserve history

Staff at the Prescott Museum and Visitor Centre say they are grateful for the many artifacts, photographs and pieces of local history that are offered to its collection each year.

If you have something you think may belong in the museum collection, they are asking you to connect with museum staff before dropping it off.

Items left outside after hours can be damaged, lost or stolen, and often arrive without the stories and background information that help staff understand and preserve them properly.

Museum staff say they are always happy to talk about a potential donation and determine whether it is a good fit for the collection.

To inquire about donating an item, contact the Prescott Museum & Visitor Centre at 613-925-2812 ext. 8000 or museum@prescott.ca.
