Dejong Road Bridge closure extended to the end of the month

A bridge closure in Augusta Township has been extended.

Officials say the closure of Dejong Road between Algonquin Road and Lords Mills Road has been extended to July 31 so that bridge rehabilitation work can be completed.

They say that last week, the bridge received a concrete pour, marking another milestone in the rehabilitation project.

Drivers are being encouraged to continue using alternate routes and to allow for additional travel time while the closure remains in effect.

You’re being thanked for your patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure work progresses.
