A new club could soon be in place in Augusta Township.
An information meeting on starting a new Optimist Club in Augusta Township is taking place on March, 24 at Beattie Dukelow Electrical Inc.
Optimist International is an international service club organization with almost 1,600 clubs and over 39,000 members in more than 20 countries.
Organizers say it would support youth, families, and local schools through community events, programs, and projects.
If you are 18 or older and interested in making a positive difference in the community, organizers say they would love to see you there.
You’re encouraged to bring a family member, friend, or neighbour who may also be interested in getting involved.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
