Work on new Dundas Manor in Winchester over two-thirds complete

The new Dundas Manor long-term care home in Winchester is two-thirds complete.

Officials say despite the heat wave over the summer, crews have been working tirelessly, and the building is now nearly fully enclosed.

They add that milestones that have been reached include all major rooftop equipment now being in place for air handling, roofing being 100 % complete and window installation almost finished.

Exterior walls are also up as are more than half of the interior walls and brick and stone work is under way.

Before winter hits, officials say electrical work for electric vehicle parking and fiber boxes will be completed and it’s hoped that all brick and stone work will be finished as well.

The new 128-bed long-term care home is tentatively scheduled to open in the summer of 2026.
