July busiest month this year for border crossings but still down from 2024

The Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge saw its busiest month this year for cross-border trips in July.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics show 21,911 trips across the bridge to Ogdensburg New York last month.

That was a drop off from the same time period in 2024 that saw 29,500 trips made.

Overall, there were approximately 34,000 fewer cross-border trips from eastern Ontario into New York State in July.

That marked the biggest one-month decline in travel so far this year at the Alexandria Bay, Ogdensburg and Massena borders.
