Update: While the OPP reported earlier on Twitter that one eastbound lane had been reopened, it’s now reporting all lanes as being closed again between County Road 22 and Highway 16. A detour remains in place on County Road 2.

The OPP is reporting a collision on the westbound lanes of Highway 401 west of County Road 22.
The OPP says two vehicles are involved in the crash near Cardinal and emergency vehicles are attending the scene. No other details are available from the OPP at this time.
Traffic is also slow on Highway 401 near Prescott due to construction and many vehicles are using Highway 2 in Prescott as an alternate route. You may encounter some delays if you are travelling through the area.
