The recipient of the first Kemptville District Hospital Physician Excellence Award says he’s happy and a little surprised to receive the honour.
Dr. Johnny Brisebois was nominated for the award recognizing a physician who has made outstanding contributions to the KDH community beyond clinical care, by his peers after working for over twenty years in the hospital’s emergency department.
A media release from KDH says Dr. Brisebois consistently exemplifies the highest standards of clinical care and professionalism.
He tells the Vista Radio newsroom that there are many others who deserve the award and adds he’s passionate about his career.
“I’m super lucky to have a job that I really enjoy, whether I see ten or twenty patients a day those are ten or twenty mysteries that I get to try to solve.”
Dr. Brisebois adds that the area still maintains a rural feel which is part of the reason why he loves his position.
