Majority of Winchester District Memorial Hospital patients in 2025 say they were very satisfied

The majority of patients who received care and services at Winchester District Memorial Hospital last year say they were very satisfied.

WDMH has released its 2025 patient satisfaction results which they say is based on feedback from 3,559 patients.

Officials say that patient satisfaction reflects the entire hospital experience and it includes every interaction and every service a patient receives, from clinical care and support to administrative assistance and service from a friendly volunteer.

Highlights include day surgery patients rating their overall satisfaction at 94 per cent with the same percentage being seen in the maternity department.

Meanwhile, medical/surgery patients ranked their overall satisfaction at 91 per cent and emergency patients at 85 per cent.

WDMH surveys are offered online, through a link sent by email.  A percentage of patients who provide an email and consent during registration receive an invitation to rate their overall experience and the information they receive on discharge.
