Ontario putting close to $5 million to snowmobiling in the province

Ontario’s snowmobile network is getting additional provincial funds to keep it on the trails.

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark says his government is providing the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs with an additional $3.9 million this season, bringing total support to $4.9 million in 2025–26.

Officials say the money will enable the full reopening of the club’s 4,500 kilometres of trails.

The government will also continue to work with the OFSC on a long-term trail strategy.

Snowmobiling continues to be one of the province’s most popular winter activities with the province home to over 30,000 kilometres of trails to travel.
