A planning and environmental study is underway for Highway 401 through Edwardsburgh Cardinal.

Officials say it will look at the Shanly Road Underpass, possible interchange improvements, and what the highway will need to expand to six lanes in the future.

They say a recommended plan will be confirmed and designated at the completion of the study.

A website has been created where you can learn more about the study and everything that goes into it.

You can also sign up for news alerts to keep up-to-date on its progress.

It can be found at www.Highway401-Cardinal.ca.
