You’re being urged to be sun safe with the hot weather sticking around a bit longer.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says you should carry your sunscreen and lip screen with you, so you can reapply them every two hours.
They say you should also be aware that certain medications can increase your sensitivity to the sun and you can talk to your health care provider about any medications you are taking.
Health officials say it’s important to seek the shade and keep babies out of the sun with sunscreen recommended to not be used on babies less than 6 months.
The health unit says protection from the sun is required not only during the summer, but is also important year round.
