There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist Dave Phillips says if you’re getting tired of the extreme heat that’s beating down on us thanks to an intense and broad weather system that’s covering much of eastern North America, just wait a few days.
He says that’s because things will start to cool down on Wednesday paving the way for a Civic Holiday long weekend that will see daytime highs of around 25 degrees.
Phillips tells Moose FM that it will be a great time to get outside.
“Wall-to-wall sunshine, no threatening weather, turn off the air conditioning, open the windows and enjoy some Canadian air.”
Phillips adds he expects we’ll see more of the same type of weather through the rest of the summer that we have been experiencing.
