Major South Dundas road closure rescheduled

If you’re planning a trip through South Dundas this August, you might need to revise your route.

A fourteen day closure coming to County Road 2 in South Dundas has been pushed back a week by the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

The closure, which is happening so an aging culvert can be replaced, will now start on August 8th.

While it’s happening, County Road 2 will be closed to non-local traffic between Doran Creek and Morrisburg.

A detour that spans more than 31 kilometres will be available in the meantime, and United Counties staff say incentives will be in place to encourage workers to finish the culvert replacement in less than fourteen days.

The United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry website has a map of the detour.
