The Town of Prescott is getting provincial funding.
During today’s first ever Prescott Economic Development Summit the town will receive funding from the Eastern Ontario Development Support Program. The Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation made the reveal yesterday when they announced the cheque presentation would be held at the Prescott Golf Club during the summit.
Town Hall has not commented on how much they will be receiving but the informal word is that the funds will go towards Prescott’s new Recreation Master Plan. The plan is intended to address long term maintenance and care of recreational spaces, while identifying ways the town can add recreational opportunities.
