The Town of Prescott’s Inaugural Economic Development Summit is tomorrow.
From 7:30 until 10:00am The Town of Prescott want anyone interested in the town’s economic future to join them at the Prescott Golf Club. Prescott’s Economic Development Officer Dr. Jacqueline Schoemaker Holmes says people in attendance can expect lots of information including an update on the Business Retention and Expansion Process, including an updated Action Plan.
There will be some key regional figures in attendance including Mayor Doug Malanka from Augusta Township and Mayor Pat Sayeau from the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal. Both Mayors will have updates on economic and community development strategies from their townships. Dr. Schoemaker Holmes points out the region has taken a collaborative approach to business recently, pointing to the St. Lawrence Corridor Economic Development Commission as an example.
A breakfast will be served during the summit and will be an excellent chance for entrepreneurs to network while learning about the town’s economic future.
