The Township of Augusta’s Municipal Awareness and Volunteer Opportunities Day has been rescheduled.
Originally scheduled for August 24th the event was postponed after the passing of Augusta Township Deputy Mayor George Elliot. Today the township announced they were rescheduling for September 18th from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Presentations will start at 4:00pm.
The township encourages the public to join them at the Maynard Recreation Centre to learn what they do and how they operate. There will be a complimentary barbeque with hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Local politicians, like the mayor and members of council, are also expected to attend.
