Busy Off-Season Scheduled For The Leo Boivin Centre

The Leo Boivin Centre is set to have $200,000 sunk into it this summer to meet provincial standards.

Accessibility upgrades for the arena are scheduled to start this April with a finish date scheduled for September.

The upgrades are two years behind the provincial deadline, with town CAO Pierre Mercier saying he doesn’t believe Prescott is the only municipality in this situation.

The timeline for the upgrades was announced at last week’s Committee of the Whole meeting along with the $8.4-million capital projects budget, which is waiting on approval from a special meeting that will be held March 6th.
