Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark says it is thanks to the community that the jobs and services at the Service Ontario Centre in Kemptville were saved.
It was announced in May 2016 that the service centre would close this month, but Clark says the community’s “Say No to the Close” campaign and over 10,000 signatures convinced the Liberal government to reverse the decision.
Clark noted that government services should actually be expanded in North Grenville, with recent census data showing the area as the fastest growing community in the region.
