It`s another sign that warmer weather is here and summer isn`t too far behind.
Construction season has arrived and in Prescott the major project being tackled is the reconstruction of East Street.
The work will be done in two parts and will include a full-depth removal and replacement of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer on East Street between King Street and James Street.
Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar tells Moose FM that the town tries to take care of a major road project every two years.
“We`re trying to do worst to first, fix up the worst streets and the worst areas and then move forward that way. That makes only common sense so that we don`t run into any emergencies.”
Ken Miller Excavating Ltd. has been hired for the reconstruction of East Street at the cost of $1.84 million.
