Augusta Township is using two donations to equip its fire department with life saving tools.
Earlier this week, The Augusta Firefighter’s Association presented a cheque to the township for $23,000, along with an additional $5,000 from Chevron Construction,
The funds will go to the purchase of new battery-powered electric jaws of life, included in the township’s 2025 budget, with the total cost of the equipment coming in at $57,000.
The Augusta Firefighter’s Association has raised over $380,000 in the past decade to help purchase equipment and support fire services.
