Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville is assisting twelve people displaced after a fire at a rowhouse in Prescott.
Firefighters were called to the building on James Street East on Tuesday morning after the fire broke out.
Prescott Fire Chief Renny Rayner tells Moose FM that there were no injuries.
He adds that the Augusta Fire Department and Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police were among the different first responders that assisted at the scene.
Chief Rayner says that the cause of the blaze is undetermined and damage is estimated to be around $1.5 million.
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office was notified about the blaze.

Firefighters are currently battling a blaze at a home in Prescott.
North Grenville OPP tell Moose FM that it’s at a house on James Street East and roads in the area are closed.
Police add that there doesn’t appear to be any injuries with everyone living in the home accounted for.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
