Several local seniors were recently recognized with the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.
Organizers say there were 1,678 years of volunteer service in one room.
The event was hosted by Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark.

Ontario’s fifth annual Provincial Day of Action on Litter is Tuesday, May 14.
You can participate in the Merrickville-Wolford community by organizing a litter cleanup event, engaging the community by educating others, and promoting public participation.

The Iroquois-Matilda Lions Club Student Lions is organizing and hosting a “Masquerade MAYhem.”
It’s scheduled for Friday, May 31 at the Iroquois Legion.
Organizers say it will include a spaghetti dinner and a masquerade dance for all ages.

Prescott’s annual Community Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 11.
You can stop by the main office at Town Hall to pick up your yard sale signs and start gathering your items to sell.
Registration is not required to participate.
