Town staff seeking approval to find a contractor for E Dock replacement

The first infrastructure project in Prescott’s 2024 budget is up for review and approval.

According to a staff report to council, the town is entering the final review stages for its plans to replace the E Dock at the Marina.

The report says the dock, installed in the 1980s, is past its useful life. Other, smaller docks were replaced over the course of 2022 and 2023.

Staff say they want approval as soon as possible so they can begin taking submissions from contractors, with the goal of having the dock fully replaced before Victoria Day next summer.

The replacement is expected to cost between $200,000 and $250,000. Council votes on whether to approve the replacement at Monday night’s meeting.
