Construction on Prescott’s new water tower is set to begin soon.
Town council has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the new tower is happening on Friday, November 3rd.
Work on the water tower project began several years ago, while Brett Todd was still Mayor.
The contract to build the new facility was awarded to a company based out of Burlington over the summer, with estimated costs nearly a million dollars higher than what council projected in 2021.
The tower is set to be built at the corner of Sophia and Churchill Streets, near the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre.
The ceremony is happening outside the arena at 12:30 PM on the 3rd.
