You’ll need to avoid parking on the street overnight starting next week.
The Town of Prescott’s overnight parking restrictions for the winter come into effect on Wednesday, November 1st.
While the restrictions are in effect, roadside parking isn’t allowed on any street in town between midnight and 7:00 AM.
However, if you get a ticket while you’re providing a service at someone’s home for your job, you can appeal to the town to have it cancelled.
Appeals are also available if moving your car off the streets would have been unsafe, like if you were drinking or otherwise impaired.
The restrictions are put in place to make it easier and safer for Public Works staff to clear snow and ice off the roads.
Once they come into effect, they’ll last until March 31st, 2024.
