Prescott’s new arena will have its first ever skaters in a few weeks.
Town staff has announced a grand opening ceremony will take place at the arena on September 2nd.
The new arena, named after the two-time national figure skating champion who retired in 2021, is set to be the new home for the South Grenville Rangers, and host events like public skating nights.
After the grand opening ceremony at 10:00 AM, residents will be able to hit the ice at the arena for the first time at noon.
Town staff says more details on the ceremony are set to be announced on social media soon.
