MPP Steve Clark says he’s grateful to the residents of his riding that have been recognized for their volunteer work by the provincial government.
Clark says 61 people living in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes (LGTIRL) have received Volunteer Service Awards from the province, to commemorate their work with organizations in the region.
“Their dedication and commitment have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many of their neighbours and friends,” Clark says, “and I am so pleased at this opportunity to properly recognize their contributions.”
More than 4,000 other people across Ontario have also received the award, which is presented annually.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our communities,” adds Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism Michael Ford. “The incredible volunteers in (LGTIRL) have embodied the best of the Ontario spirit and have shown – through their commitment, dedication and selfless service – that we can achieve anything when we come together as Team Ontario.”
