With the holiday season over, if you bought a real tree for Christmas this year, the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal can help you get rid of it.
The township has announced curbside pickup for Christmas tree recycling has begun. Until January 14th, if you live in Cardinal, Spencerville, Johnstown, or New Wexford, you can leave your Christmas tree outside and Township workers will come pick it up.
You’ll also be able to drop off your Christmas tree at the waste transfer station on Scott Road any time during the month of January, free of charge.
If you have any tinsel, plastic, or other decorations still on your tree, you’ll need to take them off before leaving it out for recycling.
