RIDE Check By Grenville County OPP Results In Drug Charges

Two people are facing drug charges following a RIDE check by the Grenville County OPP.

Last Wednesday, just after 6:15 p.m., officers were conducting a RIDE check at County Road 18, in Bishop Mills.

During the traffic stop, police discovered freshly smoked marijuana.

Following an investigation, officers found drug paraphernalia, cocaine, crystal meth and cannabis.

As a result, a 41-year-old man from Cardinal, and a 26-year-old woman from Edwardsburgh have both been arrested and charged with multiple possession and trafficking offenses.

The man is being held for a bail hearing, while the woman will be before a judge in Brockville on February 19.
