Municipal team gets go ahead to negotiate for Kemptville College

For the first time in North Grenville, CAO Brian Carre presented a report in both official languages Monday night. There were French-speaking stakeholders in the audience, from the newest tenant of Kemptville College, the French Public School Board. Carre was reporting that BDO Canada found the Municipality’s vision for Kemptville College to be unique and feasible.

Council passed a resolution authorizing both the CAO and the Director of Planning and Development to begin negotiations with the province on the acquisition of college lands. Carre says the first teleconference will be happening before the end of the month, with face-to-face meetings set for the first week of May.
