There is no word yet on the condition of an Orillia man who was ejected from his vehicle near Brockville yesterday morning. It happened just after 11:00am near the North Augusta exit.
Police say the thirty-nine-year-old driver of a pickup truck pulled into the passing lane to allow a transport trailer to merge onto the highway. Without hitting the other vehicle, the pickup truck driver then lost control and left the road. He was thrown from his truck upon impact.
Paramedics took him to hospital in Kingston with life-threatening injuries. The 401 was closed for several hours yesterday while police did their investigation.
