The unofficial results for the 2018 Municipal Election in the Town of Prescott have been released.
Leanne Burton, Teresa Jansman, Lee McConnell, Michael Ostrander, Gauri Shankar and Ray Young have been elected as Councillors.
The
Shankar led the votes with 926. The five other Councillors are returning to their positions. Jansman received 798, Burton had 785 votes. Ostrander received 751 votes, Young had 677 votes and McConnell got 609 votes.
Shankar says he’s looking forward to working as a team with Council to face the challenges that are ahead of them. Incumbent Councillor Jansman says she hopes to continue to serve the residents of Prescott in the most financially and stable, long term way possible.
Mayor Brett Todd has been acclaimed.
