The OPP is reminding the public to be aware of crosswalk signs and lights.
The Prescott Police Services Board and the OPP want people to remember to watch for the pedestrian crosswalk signs and lights that have been recently installed. They are in place at Edward and Irvine Street in Prescott.
OPP Constable Suzanne Runciman says drivers and cyclists must stop and yield the whole roadway while the lights are blinking, and remain at a complete stop until pedestrians have fully crossed to the other side of the road.
