The Town of Prescott will be flushing the watermains during the month of October.
The flushing will happen between 7:30 in the morning and 3:30 in the afternoon. This is done to help improve the overall water quality. The flushing may cause a temporary discolouration to water. The Town of Prescott says this is normal and does not risk health and safety. If water does become discoloured in your home, it is recommended to run the taps until the water runs clear. It is also suggested to run a tap in your house before doing any laundry to make sure there is no discolouration.
