You may have to plan a different route to work if you take the highway starting Monday.
Construction will begin at 12:01 on Monday morning and go until noon on Friday, October fifth. The Highway 16 entrance to Highway 401 westbound is scheduled to be closed during the construction. A detour will be in place that will direct traffic to Highway 401 eastbound to exit at Shanly Road to get back to Highway 401 westbound.
They will be working on full depth concrete crack repairs which includes an installation of a temporary concrete barrier.
If alternate dates are needed for the closure, it will happen from October eighth to the 12th.
