Summer Real Estate Sales In Leeds and Grenville Has Increased Since Last Year

Leeds and Grenville is going into the fall season with increase in real estate sales.

Marty Urquhart is the President of the Rideau-St. Lawrence Real Estate Board and says the area has been a significant increase in real estate sales over the summer. He says from 2017 to 2018 there has been a 10-percent increase. In September, Urquhart adds, they see another boom of sales leading right up until snow.

Urquhart says the average price across the board was $242 thousand up to $254 thousand for real estate now. He says that is an increase of about 4.8-percent. He adds it’s possibly leaning more towards a “sellers market” right now because there is a little less inventory (houses coming onto the market). Urquhart says the area has a stable and sound market.
