A local icon will be honoured with a plaque on Saturday.
During this week’s council meeting it was announced that Jean Casselman Wadds would be remembered with a plaque at Centennial Park. The ceremony is at noon and will be held at the west end of the park in front of Sophia Street.
Wadds had a significant role in the patriation of the Canadian constitution in 1982 and was a member of Canadian parliament for 10 years before her riding was abolished.
