After almost a year of work the Town of Prescott was formally given the results of the Business Expansion and Retention plan.
Starting in February 192 local businesses and 66 local business owners were interviewed. The interviews covered what it is like to do business in Prescott. Economic Development Officer Dr. Jacqueline Schoemaker-Holmes says that of the four options provided, poor, fair, good and excellent, most business owners scored the town as being a “good” place to do business.
During her presentation Schoemaker-Holmes pointed out that she believes there is room for growth in Prescott on the international market. She also added that businesses surveyed are looking for more support from the community and municipality.
