Prescott project included for voting in Aviva Community Fund

Residents in Prescott are encouraged to vote for local community projects to win a share of $1 million.

This comes from the 8th annual Aviva Community Fund, which every year donates money to community projects across Canada.

According to Aviva guidelines, ideas must fall within one of the three funding levels, which range from $50,000 to $150,000. All ideas are associated with registered Canadian charities, non-profit organisations, schools, or municipalities.

As of yesterday the Lost Window Campaign, that is trying to save a stain glass window at St John’s Church in Prescott, had 73 votes.

As of yesterday, an idea for a new playground at South Branch Elementary School in Kemptville has 162 votes, and voting closes on October 19th.
