Supporters of a splash pad in Prescott are gathering to organize their message.
On October 17th the Community Splash Pad Committee are hosting a public meeting at 7:00pm in Prescott Town Hall’s Ruth Evenson Room. The volunteer group has come together with the mission statement of constructing a splash pad which will enable children and families of all abilities and background to engage in positive social interactions and enhance physical activity in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
Committee member Kim Durant says the splash pad would be a great place for kids to cool down and that it would bring a unique element to the town.
The group is forming at the right time as the town prepares to start work on a Recreation Master Plan, which will work out the logistics of projects like this.
