The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs are introducing a new awards program.
The OMAFRA are calling their new initiative the Rural Ontario Leaders Awards. The new awards offered are; Individual Awards for people 25 years of age or older, Individual Youth Awards for people 24 years of age or younger, Community Awards for municipality or indigenous community, Business Awards and Not-for-Profit or Non-Government Awards.
The deadline to apply is 5:00pm on October 11th. Rural residents, communities, businesses and organisations can self-nominate or have their name submitted by an individual or group. To learn more click here.
