Last week the Prescott office of the Grenville County OPP answered 120 calls. 50 of those calls came from the Town of Prescott.
One incident involved a vehicle parked on Edward Street. The OPP say on September 20th while one of their officers was on their normal patrol they found a running vehicle, parked at an angle on the 401 overpass. The officer’s investigation revealed the driver, a woman from Prescott, was under the influence of alcohol.
According to the OPP the driver was arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and care and control of a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in the blood stream. She was later released with a future court date.
